After Tatanysha Hedman discovered that her partner, Vincent Phillips, had sexually assaulted her seven-year-old daughter she wanted revenge. She first considered shooting Phillips but decided against it because that punishment would be “too nice”. Instead, she waited until Phillips was asleep, doused his body with a flammable liquid and set him on fire.

This is a horrific thing any mother could imagine of having in her life. The forty year old mother was so mad that she could not let the guy live in peace so easily. She wanted the toughest and the hardest punishment for the man.

This was definitely the hardest thing for her to do this thing with her husband but he had lost his control and crossed the limit. He acted like an animal to her seven year old innocent girl who has no idea what happened to her. The case has certain resonances with the trial of Lorena Bobbitt who castrated her husband in a bout of temporary insanity after years of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
